For the past few years, politicians and their elite cronies have been pushing radical global warming alarmism. They claim that humans are causing the world to rapidly warm, which will cause all of the ice to melt, which will drown us all within a few years. Within a decade, all cities will be underwater, especially the coastal ones, they claim. Thinking people understand that this theory is ridiculous for many reasons, but do the most zealous global warming alarmists themselves believe that the world is getting much hotter every day because of ‘greenhouse’ gases?

What’s their motive?

The elites benefit massively from global warming alarmism in a number of ways. First, every politician knows that the more fearful citizens are, the easier they are to control. Second, the elites are using enviro-fascism to pass insane amounts of regulations and taxes that would otherwise not be possible. Third, they and their cronies are cashing in on their hoax by making tremendous sums of money.

Many articles, videos, and books have surely been published about the ridiculous claim that humans are causing the world to burn because of greenhouse gases. That is not the purpose of this article. I felt compelled to write this because I have realized that when it comes to being honest – putting their money where their mouths are – I have yet to hear of any person on Earth who actually believes that the world is warming due to carbon emissions or that sea levels are rising.

The science

Sea levels have been rising very slowly for hundreds of years, meaning that they were rising before fossil fuels were used for energy. In recent years, sea levels around the world have actually been rising slower, not faster, according to actual science.

The claim that “97% of scientists believe that global warming is a real threat and that it is man-made” is the biggest hoax in the world of junk science since the Lancet embarrassed itself in 1998 and lost its credibility forever. Much like the massive movement spurred by former doctor Andrew Wakefield, this claim originated from one paper published by an enviro-fascist named John Cook. Of the papers he surveyed (selection bias notwithstanding), he claimed that 97% agreed that global warming was real and mainly (over 50%) caused by humans.  In reality, the number of those papers that found global warming to be real and mainly caused by humans is closer to zero, than it is to 97%, though:

“…when the study was publicly challenged by economist David Friedman, one observer calculated that only 1.6 percent explicitly stated that man-made greenhouse gases caused at least 50 percent of global warming.”

Furthermore, many of the scientists whose papers were determined by Cook to agree with his insane premise have publicly condemned Cook for misrepresenting (lying) about their findings in their studies:

“Cook’s survey included 10 of my 122 eligible papers. 5/10 were rated incorrectly. 4/5 were rated as endorse rather than neutral.”

—Dr. Richard Tol

“That is not an accurate representation of my paper . . .”

—Dr. Craig Idso

“Nope . . . it is not an accurate representation.”

—Dr. Nir Shaviv

“Cook et al. (2013) is based on a strawman argument . . .”

—Dr. Nicola Scafetta

And no, global warming is not causing an increase in hurricanes or tornadoes, and it is not causing more forest fires either. Because global warming is not really occurring on any meaningful level.

Economics and actuarialism

Now that we have a little background on enviro-fascism, let me explain how I can know that no leftists truly believe the dogma they profess; that the oceans are rapidly rising and will soon flood all coastal cities, and eventually, the whole world.

If progressives actually believed their claim that oceans were rising, their top priority would be moving as far inland and as high in elevation as possible. Any leftist who has not moved to Colorado, Wyoming, or New Mexico is clearly a fraud. It really is that simple. Currently, the huge majority of believers in global warming actually live on coasts, within a few miles of the Atlantic or Pacific oceans. If we look at data over the past decade, we should see that leftists have been fleeing the beach fronts and moving inland and upwards. But the data shows that the housing market in nearly every coastal city in the union is booming, and voting patterns and party registration show that it’s being driven by the very progressives who claim to fear global warming.

The same exact broadcast in Germany on the same date in 2017 and 2022 shows temperatures getting much lower...but in a scary red color to convince German sheep that it's super hot! (Fact-checked as real by Reuters)

The study of economics is the ultimate social science because it focuses on what people actually do with their finite resources (time and money), not what they claim to believe when virtue signaling at a party or on Facebook. You may claim to be antiracist and oppose slavery, but the study of economics may prove that you actually donate to the KKK and own many slaves yourself, making you a hypocrite. Money can’t lie like people can.

Are actuaries and bankers all stupid?

In finance and insurance, an actuary is a professional risk assessor. Banks and insurance companies might hire them to make an overall assessment of risk for a given situation. An actuary might determine that the life insurance policy for a motorcycle racer will be more expensive than the same policy for a secretary.

Similarly, banks surely hire actuaries or at least perform an actuarial assessment on every loan they make. The billion-dollar banks understand that if they loan a million dollars to a builder who is likely to fail to make money on the building project and fail to pay back their loan, the bank will lose that money.

So, if there were even a 1% chance that global warming could cause any sea level rise within the coming decades, no banks in the world would give any loans to any home buyer, builder, or contractor for any project within 100 miles of water. Yet, these loans are being made every day in every coastal city, from Miami to San Diego. To say that global warming is causing the oceans to rise is to say that every bank, insurance, and actuary firm in the world is 100% populated by brainless fools.

If global warming existed, bankers and actuaries would be the first to know, because they would benefit most from that knowledge and they have the most to lose by getting this wrong.

Politicians and other elites

Similarly to the bankers, the fact that the most elite politicians in the world don’t believe in global warming should be taken very seriously. Indeed, President Obama, President Biden, former Secretary of State John Kerry, former Vice President Al Gore, Senator Bernie Sanders, Mayor Mike Bloomberg, and many other elite politicians do not actually believe that carbon emissions are causing global warming or that oceans are rising. If global warming existed, the US president – who has the highest level of intelligence clearance and has access to the most information of any human alive – would surely know it, wouldn’t he? Yet, we can know for certain that Barack Obama does not truly believe in global warming. He may claim to believe it in order to win popularity among progressives and in order to justify passing thousands of new laws and making billions on speeches and books, but his own personal behavior and allocation of scarce resources (economics) prove that he does not believe in the dogma.

If Obama personally believed that oceans would drown all houses near the water within a few years, he’d be selling his beachfront properties before they lose all of their value, and he’d be buying property in Kansas and Wyoming. Yet, the facts show that Obama just bought a mansion on the water in Massachusetts, which would be the first place in the world to flood if global warming actually caused sea levels to rise.

Other elites also seem to enjoy beachfront properties despite claiming to believe that they will be underwater imminently. Mark Zuckerberg claims to believe in global warming, but he owns massive properties worth $100 million in Hawaii, which might be the first state in the world to be totally submerged once the mythological flood arrives. Is Zuckerberg so stupid that he didn’t realize this misstep, or does he not truly believe in catastrophic global warming?

As reported by BeatOfHawaii.com, “While the World Bank says that the average American produces about 15 metric tons of carbon annually, Zuckerberg’s plane alone produces far more than 1,500 metric tons of carbon at this rate of flying. In two weeks alone, however, it created some 159 metric tons of carbon, which could indicate that the estimate of 1,500 tons a year is actually far too low.”

The federal government literally incentivizes people to build property on the water via federally subsidized flood insurance.

According to progressives, the primary cause of global warming is the emission of carbon. Democratic politicians have been trying to eliminate the use of gasoline cars and all use of coal, gas, and oil for energy. Recently, the more radical wing of the Democrat movement has called for limiting or banning travel via airplanes, because they do expel unbelievable amounts of carbon emissions, dwarfing the emissions caused by vehicles.

So, do any Democrats use airplanes?

They sure do. In fact, the most zealous proponents of global warming fly regularly, and they use their own private jets to do it! There are two major issues here. First, if you believe that a certain behavior was literally killing you and others, you would not do it. Second, if you claim to believe something, you should lead by example, and compound your positive effect by convincing others to follow your lead. After years of Al Gore, John Kerry, and Barack Obama flying all over the world in private jets to lecture you and me about how we should stop driving our cars so much, I am beginning to grow skeptical about their true beliefs. If they really thought that carbon emissions were a dire threat to humanity, they would sell their private jets and beachfront properties and move to Laramie, Wyoming.

Practically speaking, if progressive citizens wanted to make real meaningful progress towards lowering carbon emissions (which is beneficial due to air quality being an actual issue), why are they not embracing simple common-sense reforms that would decrease emissions drastically and within one day?

Here are two simple ideas that I came up with:

  1. Prohibit the use of private jets by politicians. This would cut carbon emissions by who knows how many millions of pounds of carbon, and it would show that the elite environmentalists are leading by example instead of being corrupt hypocrites.
  2. Eliminate all routine enforcement of traffic stops by police. As I mentioned in an article in 2019, the millions of annual traffic stops by police in the united states likely contribute significantly to air pollution via carbon emissions. When a cop pulls over a driver, both vehicles generally idle for around 15 minutes each. This may add up to millions of unnecessary pounds of carbon emissions annually. Considering that only a negligible percentage of traffic stops are made to stop a clear and present danger, we could easily eliminate most or all traffic stops and enjoy better air quality and less wasted time and productivity by tomorrow.
Bernie the massive hypocrite
Bernie Sanders drives an SUV to a private jet to fly to a speech about how evil fossil fuels are

Yet, I cannot find I single progressive who has even considered either of these proposals. The elites tell us that we must sacrifice our cars, heating oil, and even eating meat, while they continue living lavishly and flying from one beachfront property to the other on private jets while eating expensive meat and investing in coal companies as they mock their naive constituents.

We do not even need to mention that Gore and the radical enviro-fascists lied when they said in 2006 that the world would be gone by 2016. Of course, it is 2021, the oceans are rising slower than ever, and I am still cold in May. But Al Gore is now worth over $300 million, and he uses that money to fly all around the globe lecturing me about the use of fossil fuels.

Until the most ardent supporters of the theory that humans are warming the earth and melting the ice via carbon emissions put their money where their mouths are, they should not expect any logical person to believe their propaganda. Once Democrats move away from the water and up to the mountains, and once Obama sells his beach home, and once Kerry stops flying around the world in private jets, maybe I’ll reconsider my stance that the elites are only pushing their enviro-fascist agenda to justify ever-increasing control, taxation, and abuse of people like you and me.
