Communism is defined by Merriam Webster’s dictionary as:

1) “A theory advocating elimination of private property”

2) “A doctrine based on revolutionary Marxian socialism and Marxism-Leninism that was the official ideology of the U.S.S.R.”

3) “A totalitarian system of government in which a single authoritarian party controls state-owned means of production”

Each day, it grows clearer to people who pay attention that the modern progressives who control the Democratic Party throughout the US are communists. They advocate for 100% total governmental control of all property, behavior and culture. These communists want to make the free market – and freedom in general – obsolete. In his famous book on creating a socialist state, Saul Alinsky’s first level of control that the authoritarian fasicst government must implement is control of healthcare; Alinsky understood that private health care providers of all types must be abolished so that the government could control and ultimately be the sole provider of healthcare. This makes the people 100% dependent on the politicians in charge. “Control healthcare and you control the people” is what Alinsky advised. New Hampshire’s Democratic politicians have surely taken his advice seriously. They want to take over healthcare, one step at a time. Of course, they are not claiming to be evil communist tyrants. As always, they are pretending to be altruistic in their efforts to abolish ‘greedy’ private insurance companies and hospitals.

Sponsored by 12 Democrats and 2 Republicans, House Bill 1280 ‘gives’ the government increased control over private health insurance companies by mandating (under penalty of law/men with guns) that they never charge any consumer more than $100 for a 30-day supply of insulin, ever, no matter the type and no matter how scarce and expensive insulin ever becomes. If insulin becomes ultra-rare and naturally increases in cost, insurance companies will go out of business if they are forced to purchase the insulin at the high cost while only being reimbursed $100 per month by the policyholder. Are hospitals and insurance companies always ethical? Of course, not. Some are probably run by greedy bastards who are corrupt to the core. However, not every problem necessitates a communist solution; a solution that grants politicians more control over the once free market. Each time politicians create another law that grants them more power over the economy, society grows poorer, sicker, and less free. Remember how well it worked out when politicians interfered with our diets and EpiPens?

Speaking of EpiPens…….

Two of the above sponsors proposed a similarly asinine communist bill to go along with the insulin legislation. House Bill 1281 is a bill written by politicians which ‘grants’ politicians the power to control how private health insurance companies operate. Specifically in this case, the proposed law would mandate that every private insurance company cover the full cost of EpiPens (one of many brands of epinephrine auto-injectors) without ever charging a policyholder or increasing any cost for the insurance plan in any fashion.

House Bill 1287 mandates that health insurance companies cover long term antibiotics for tick-borne illnesses and forbids them from raising rates, premiums, deductibles, or co-pays. This flies in the face of commerce, supply and demand, arithmetic, and the free market.

House Bill 1464 mandates that health insurance companies cover yoga therapy as an alternative to opioids and forbids them from raising rates, premiums, deductibles, or co-pays. While it is my professional medical opinion that yoga and other physical activities could be excellent alternatives to opioids and certain circumstances, the government (politicians and their armed enforcers) cannot be allowed to control what private companies do. If you don’t like your insurance company, drop them.

These bills disrupt the normal function of the free market. If a plan must offer more benefits, it ought to be more costly. If the government were to use men with guns to threaten and coerce Geico into giving me the insurance plan they have – one that has no deductible, no premiums, and 100% coverage for all maintenance, repairs, oil changes, and even gasoline, Geico would eventually go bankrupt, would they not?

Even long before Elizabeth Warren (Communist – Massachusetts) began to publicly condemn private insurance providers (an industry I don’t much care for), the Democrats’ long-term plan was to mandate that insurance providers provide ridiculous amounts of benefits without charging consumers any additional fees – all under the guise of benevolent altruism – in order to bankrupt the private companies. Once the private companies inevitably go under…..guess who can swoop in and save the day once they are the sole provider of health coverage?

The very communists who destroyed healthcare with regulations.
