On Monday afternoon, New Hampshire Representative Mike Sylvia officially submitted language to the Office Of Legislative Services for a constitutional amendment concurrent resolution (CACR). If the amendment passes the House and Senate with 60% of the vote in each chamber, it would be placed on the ballot in the November 2022 statewide election. If 66% of the voters choose to accept the amendment into the NH Constitution, it would immediately be added to our state’s governing document, and the Live Free or Die State would officially sever all ties with Washington DC, becoming a self-governing nation-state. The legislation is called CACR32.
On September 1st, The Liberty Block published an article listing over 80 powerful reasons why Granite Staters should support state independence from the federal government. And then, Dictator Biden announced that he would bypass Congress and mandate that American workers submit to his power and accept the COVID vaccine, regardless of whether they already had immunity to the virus. When Republican Governors voiced their concerns about executive/federal overreach, Biden threatened to “run over” the delinquent Governors using his power as the President.
The language submitted today asks that a bill be filed to ask the legislature whether the following language should be placed on the ballot for the people to vote on:
“[Art.] 7-a. [Independent Nation.] New Hampshire peaceably declares
independence from the United States and immediately proceeds as a
sovereign nation. All other references to the United States in this
constitution, state statutes, and regulations are nullified.”
If the legislation passes the House and the Senate (the governor does not need to sign a CACR) it would give the people of New Hampshire an opportunity to vote on their future relationship with Washington DC.
The voters of this great state have not had an opportunity to reevaluate their relationship with our Lords in DC ever in their lifetimes; their ancestors made the decision to join the union 240 years ago, in a different world, one in which the federal government did not violate our every right, and did not steal half of our money to fund their tyranny.
If you believe that it’s time to give voters a choice – all this legislation does is give voters a voice – then please tell your state representatives and senators to support this constitutional amendment.
In an interview with FreeKeene.com, Mike Sylvia said: The people of America have forgotten their history, if we take the time to look at our roots we can see that our constitutions have received ‘lip service’ for far too long. While I can not change the direction of the federal government, I can hold up the New Hampshire constitution and demand that we honor its clear directives. Article 10 reads in part, “whenever the ends of government are perverted, and public liberty manifestly endangered, and all other means of redress are ineffectual, the people may, and of right ought to reform the old, or establish a new government.”

*UPDATE: The legislation failed in the House.

Sounds good? Only if you are a right wing screwball!

Thank you for proving our point. If you think we are crazy or evil, you should be eager for us to leave the union 🙂

The people who are against state secession were probably cheering in the back for CHAZ/CHOP.
Remember them?

Left-wing screwballs are also calling for secession in California and other places. I hope ALL secession movements succeed.

There is no Right Wing anymore, John.
There are the citizens of the United States and those who desire to become (insert your favorite pet name for COMMUNIST here) something else.

We would have to be vaccinated to cross the borders. Democrats would make Jeanne Shaheen the president. The US would go to war against us to give us a Rothschild Central Bank.
Think this through.

and we loose our Airport. did you not realize it’s managed and run by Boston? of all the ill conceited short sighted things to do. what a waste of legislation. have you any Idea of the waste of money this is?
The Liberty Block · September 14, 2021 at 2:11 pm
You raise a good point. Either we would work out a deal to take over control of the airport, or we would build another one. Or five more. It would be much easier without the federal government making it slow or impossible.
Dave Ridley · September 14, 2021 at 10:51 pm
We know what it would cost taxpayers for the bill to be heard… $2,000. Aria, Ian and Angie have agreed to underwite a re-imbursement of taxpayers for this expense. This may be the first time that has ever happened with an NH bill.
Josh · September 14, 2021 at 11:31 pm
So you are saying the federal government would try to destroy us if we say we don’t want to be with them anymore? Sounds like an abusive relationship to me!
Minerva Breda · September 14, 2021 at 12:13 pm
oo and we get 13% smaller in the process. clearly you did not research this. sooo how are you going to buy this back from them?
According to the Congressional Research Service, New Hampshire spans 5.768 million acres. Of that total, 13.48 percent, or 777,087 acres, belonged to the federal government as of 2012. More than 4.9 million acres in New Hampshire are not owned by the federal government, or 3.77 non-federal acres per capita. From 1990 to 2010, the federal government’s land ownership in New Hampshire increased by 43,644 acres
The Liberty Block · September 14, 2021 at 2:12 pm
We are well aware of the federal land. The most reasonable solution would be to take back the land that the DC politicians stole from us. In exchange, we would give them a credit towards what they owe us in taxation and regulatory burden over the years.
Mike Hunt · September 14, 2021 at 3:32 pm
They could also pay for things by redirecting the federal gas tax, or not. 🙂
Russell Nelson · September 16, 2021 at 7:55 pm
If they legitimately own the land, and it wasn’t stolen like taxes are stolen, then why would they cease to own the land once NHExits?
Seceder.com · September 14, 2021 at 6:24 pm
Why not stay part of the USA and help Washington D.C. pay down a little of the interest due on its ever-growing, downright carnivorous federal debt? Where’s your patriotism, folks? C’mon, be a pal. 😉

The only people with any ethical obligation to pay any of that are the legislators who voted to borrow and spend the money and the presidents who failed to veto those bills.
Chris · September 15, 2021 at 5:56 am
DC has never been a part of us.
DC is bankrupt because the US Corporation is no longer in existence. Dissolved. DC and London both owned by the Vatican. Trump broke them when he did this because it killed the Federal Reserve and Vatican because in 2016 Trump already took all of the gold the Vatican had stolen.

For the people who know it’s time to stand against the dictatorship in Washington great, just be committed and unwavering for purpose.
Now for some of the comments slaves have put on your site. Keep in mind these are the types who would have never stood against the British. So if your waiting on the slaves to support your idea, don’t worry they will justify all day why it’s better to remain slaves being oppressed by the master in Washington then to stand up.
God Bless

If all the red states say Cya, that leaves Democratic states that will have NO MONEY and NO MORE POWER! They’ll be begging to be join us because they won’t be able to survive, otherwise.
All I can say is that THIS is a grand plan!!!
Oklahoma will be joining their Texas neighbor!!
PatriotAngel111 · September 15, 2021 at 4:40 pm
Hope all red states follow suit. As if we take back all federally owned land in repayment for all illegal taxation since its inception. Go back to pre “Act of 1871” as well, since that entire Act was unconstitutional. That means every late, every Amendment dated after that act is null and void.

Otherwise known as the “Just let China Win” act.
The Liberty Block · September 14, 2021 at 8:50 pm
You are wise to be concerned about China taking over the smaller nation of NH. Currently, DC politicians are increasingly selling us out to China. Secession would make matters better, not worse.
steve · September 14, 2021 at 9:39 pm
If America balkanizes itself because of lies and rhetoric, we’re literally handing world leadership to China or Russia.
So yeah, it’d make it a whole lot worse.
Russ Nelson · September 16, 2021 at 7:57 pm
What does “world leadership” even mean? Why wouldn’t New Hampshire become the new world leader?
Dave Ridley · September 14, 2021 at 10:58 pm
Letting China win is what DC is doing…. didn’t they just give a bunch of TX land to Beijing? Aren’t they with their million pages of regulations…the reason why Amerca’s tech and econ are falling behind? We can join NATO if we need to team up against China; NATO doesn’t interfere with our jobs or mess with our internal affairs within New Hampshire.

How do I apply for immigration? I grew up in Kingston and have been trying to get back ever since; currently trapped behind enemy lines in NY where they take more than half of everything I make, and ensure what’s left is worth less than the paper I wipe my ass with. How do I apply for immigration to the great nation of New Hampshire?
The Liberty Block · September 15, 2021 at 3:01 am
Great question! We do not know exactly what immigration would look like if NH became independent. If you support liberty and are a productive worker, you should have no issue at all!
Matt · September 15, 2021 at 3:41 am
Best piece of legislation since the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

Dave Ridley · September 15, 2021 at 6:50 am
It would be best to have no tax funded immigration regulations, but if a free NH were to impose some I can’t imagine they’d be near as Byzantine or sadistic as the current Fed regs on such movement.
Rob Klebes · September 15, 2021 at 6:52 pm
You have to be able to control who crosses your borders, not just for reasons of security, but for reasons of culture. That is one of the ways the left has infiltrated literally everything: they move to an area, take over the schools, indoctrinate the children. 20 years later, those children have shaved their heads and think their parents and country are evil and we need to bow down to the CCP. Immigration must be controlled to ensure that those coming in 1) have similar values, so that your country is not subverted, 2) are needed, so that you aren’t hurting you own country (unskilled jobs pay crap not just because they’re unskilled, but because we import MILLIONS of illegals to do them), 3) controlled, so that they integrate with the existing culture, rather than forming insular pockets or replacing it.

I was looking at retiring to Wyoming. However, New Hampshire just started looking a whole lot better, especially since the Free State Project seems to have died out.
The Liberty Block · September 19, 2021 at 1:10 am
The Free State Project is very much alive. The House Majority Leader and many other Representatives in the House are free staters. Thousands of the most committed liberty activists in NH are free staters, and many more move in every month! We LOVE Wyoming, but NH is the #1 most free state, it’s trending towards liberty more than any other state, and it’s the easiest state for libertarians to influence! Move here ASAP!
