Democrats Jon Ossof and Raphael Warnock have won the two US Senate Seats up for grabs from Georgia in yesterday’s election. The race was expected to be extremely cose, and it proved to be. Republicans led late into the night and Democrats were able to find some votes during the night, putting them in the lead. Many news outlets are now reporting that the Democrats now have a technical majority in the US Senate, because each party has 50 Senators and Vice President Kamala Harris would serve as the tie-breaker on all votes that were even. Here’s why they are wrong:

Democrats already had a large majority in the US Seante, long before yesterday’s election. If you ignore the official party registration of the Seantors and look at their actual voting records, you’ll find that around 90 to 95 of the 100 Senators vote like Democrats. This is one of the many reasons why I was not very concerned about yesterday’s election. I have been saying this for years, and my warnings have fallen on deaf ears, even among the most brillian conservative scholars and political analysts.

However, Daniel Horowitz, a sharp, forward-thinking conservative who hosts Blaze TV’s CR Podcast is finally beginning to talk about this phenomenon. It is not worth donating our precious time and money to Republican campaigns if Republicans only support freedom a negligible amount more than the Democrats.

Even while in 100% control of Congress and the presidency, Republicans failed to deliver on 100% of their promises other than repealing the ACA individual mandate and passing a massive, complicated tax reform bill which had a few positive effects. They did not pass gun rights legislation. Republicans DID kill pro-gun legislation. They actually oversaw increased gun control. They did not expand education freedom. They did not abolish the federal education dept. They did not stand up for the lives of babies. They did not pass any conservative legislation. They did vote with the Democrats on every massive spending bill, including the illegal omnibus bills. They did vote for more socialism and welfare. They did vote to send billions of dollars in taxpayer money to every foreign nation.

David Perdue, the Republican incumbent senior Senator from Georgia who just lost his seat is rated poorly in terms of pro-freedom voting:

Citizens Against Government Waste (CAGW), 2019:  67%

FreedomWorks, 2019-20:  70%, 61% (cum.)†

Conservative Review (CR), 2019:  60% (cum.)†

John Birch Society (same as Freedom Index), 2018:  60% (cum.)†

Freedom Index, 2019:  57% (cum.)†

National Taxpayers Union, 2019:  C-

Kelly Loeffler, the Republican incumbent junior Senator from Georgia who just lost her seat is rated poorly in terms of pro-freedom voting:

FreedomWorks, 2019-20:  70%, 70% (cum.)†

Many conservatives are afraid that Democrats will add seats to the supreme court, now that they have full control of the Senate. They might. I think that if the left successfully convinces naive Americans that it’s fair to add seats to the Supreme Court (in the name of equality or some other crap), most Senators will support it. This would be the case regardless of which party technically controls the Senate. We have seen countless times that Republicans in the Senate vote for anti-freedom leftist policies if that is what seems to be popular.

Only around 5 Senators support freedom, and even they only stand up for freedom when it comes time to vote on meaningful legislation sometimes.

The US House is very similar in nature. Of the 435 Representatives, around 420 vote with the Democrats on all meaningful bills. Those 420 politicians support socialism, high taxes, gun control, government control of education, abortion, free speech restriction, etc.

The US Congress cannot be ‘saved’. It cannot happen. The US cannot be saved. We are a million times too far gone to ever be pulled back into normalcy and freedom.

You must first give up the massive unattainable dream of ‘saving America’. It sucks. I know. It’s hard to give up on a country that you were raised to love and believe in. However, once you give up and start thinking clearly, you can strategize about meaningful and attainable goals. The first step is to identify one or a few states that still have a chance to be saved. And then move to one of those states and pour 100% of your energy, time, money, and resources into fortifying that state with walls of liberty to protect it from DC and foreign invaders (like those living in the nearby socialist state). Then, it’s only a matter of time before the free state and DC begin to drift apart.
