Sponsored by five Republicans, five Democrats, and the House Majority Leader, House Bill 639 is an excellent bill, especially compared to the poison-pill-packed House Bill 544. The people of New Hampshire have long called for cannabis legalization, and now they finally have a shot.
“A person who operates any motor vehicle on a public way with an animal of any size on their person, or who permits an animal to impede his or her free access to and use of vehicle controls or to obstruct their vision with any animal between the operator and the operators (sic) door is guilty of a violation.”
Why is it that NH Republicans believe that creating more unconstitutional legislation is the only way to battle the Democrats? It never works, but merely makes it more tedious and unaffordable for everyday Granite Staters to live in the state.
On Tuesday, the legislation that would place state independence on the ballot for the voters was given a number and assigned a committee. The legislation will henceforth be known as ‘CACR 32’, and its first stop will be in the ‘State-Federal Relations and Veterans Affairs Committee’.
