Over the past few years, New Hampshire has gained a reputation as the freest state in the union. More importantly, the state is trending in the direction of liberty, while the other 49 states and the federal government continue to trend towards authoritarianism. One of the very few libertarian policy areas that New Hampshire has failed to lead on is drug decriminalization. 

Free Staters, Liberty Reps Scoring Big Wins In NH House

Over the past few weeks, the New Hampshire House has considered dozens of bills. Republicans currently hold a 206-183 majority, with roughly 100 of those Republicans being ‘libertarian’. Over the past few years, thousands of libertarians have moved from authoritarian states to enjoy its unrivaled freedoms and to help the state resist the shift away from liberty that is consuming the rest of the union.

The Economy in The Republic of New Hampshire

New Hampshire seems to have the best economy of all 50 states in the union, judging by income, unemployment, and opportunity. The average income per resident in the live free or die state is 20% higher than the union’s average. The largest limiting factor is economic regulation, most of which comes from the federal government. Without infinite job-killing regulations coming from DC, NH’s economy would likely soar to unprecedented heights.
