The government’s largest expenditure is Social Security. Nearly a trillion dollars is spent on Social Security benefits (paying back the money that politicians stole from people throughout their lives via taxation).
Essentially, they already stole money from a few people, so they will not have to steal additional money from the general public to fund this new contract.
There is no effective moral or emotional argument that government (especially federal) should forcefully take someone’s money and give it to another. In light of this being enforced ultimately by violence, it is the definition of armed robbery.
