Crypto Trial Presents Major Opportunity For Jury Nullification

Thomas Jefferson said, “I consider trial by jury as the only anchor yet imagined by man, by which a government can be held to the principles of its constitution.”

In March 2021, six New Hampshire residents were arrested by federal agents in a massively violent no-knock raid. The liberty activists were charged by federal prosecutors with multiple crimes, all of which involved cryptocurrency, and none of which involved any victims. 

During the ridiculously unnecessary raid, federal law enforcement agents also destroyed and stole what may have amounted to millions of dollars worth of the innocent suspects’ property. The loss of property included confiscation of large amounts of gold, silver, crypto-currency, cold-storage wallets, crypto-currency ATMs, parts of their radio studio, computers, servers, and other equipment. The non-violent crypto-currency users were the hosts and producers of ‘Free Talk Live’, a libertarian/voluntaryist radio show syndicated by around 200 stations across the united states. The show is considered by many to be the boldest anti-war and pro-liberty show on Earth. The hosts began loudly promoting crypto adoption in 2011 shortly after Bitcoin was invented and continue promoting it during every daily show as of this writing. They believe that ditching the dollar and using crypto, gold, and other currencies as money is the single best way to destroy the concept of violent government and bring peace and liberty to the world. On the evening following the raid, their radio show was barely functional due to the destruction of much of the studio’s equipment and the arrest of the majority of the hosts and producers by the vicious gangsters from DC. 

The crimes that the politicians allege would add up to over 400 years in prison if convicted. To date, four of the defendants have taken plea deals and one had all her charges dropped, which will seemingly keep them out of prison. Ian Freeman was charged with the most crimes, and he also happens to possibly be the most powerful liberty activist in New Hampshire. If there is one person the tyrants would love to eliminate, it is him. 

Ian Freeman remains the sole defendant who is taking the case to trial. He is facing charges of operating an unlicensed money transmitting business, wire fraud, money laundering, and many other bogus charges that mean nothing, involve no actual victims, and which he did not even commit anyway. Ultimately, the jury – 12 random people selected from New Hampshire’s voter rolls – will determine Ian’s fate. The defense lawyer will likely argue that Ian’s cryptocurrency transactions did not violate any federal laws. As per my understanding, he did not commit the crimes he’s accused of by the feds. However, the jurors should know that regardless of whether Ian’s actions technically fit the definitions for the ‘crimes’ described by federal law, they still have the power to find him not guilty based on the fact that the laws themselves are immoral. Unfortunately, the NH Supreme Court watered down the law that allowed defense attorneys to mention jury nullification during the trial.

Many individuals believe that any action that does not create a human victim is not a true crime. Considering that the prosecutors in the case have admitted in court that there is no human victim (Ian and the others did not rob or defraud any person), many believe that they committed no real crime, especially crimes that would send him to prison for life. When a jury finds the defendant not guilty due to the law itself being immoral or tyrannical, it is referred to as ‘jury nullification’ and it has a history of being used against terrible laws. 

In the 1800s, jury nullification was used by jurors who refused to convict persons accused of violating the Fugitive Slave Act by assisting runaway slaves or being fugitive slaves themselves. In the 1900s, jury nullification kept people from being imprisoned for drinking alcohol during the few years of prohibition. The practice protected anti-war activists who protested the Vietnam war, and it was used in many other instances. 

Later this year, 12 citizens will once again have an opportunity to make history by protecting an innocent, peaceful, kind, hard-working man from tyrants. Ian Freeman is an award-winning talk-radio host who has worked tirelessly for decades to build Free Talk Live into the largest pro-freedom podcast, video show, and radio show in the world. It is currently syndicated on around 200 stations throughout the united states. He is absolutely pro-freedom and pro-peace, and he lives those ideals in his everyday life. He allows any person to call into the 3-hour show at any time, and he graciously gives them a platform to say anything they wish – even if they call specifically to condemn Ian and his friends. Freeman gives back to his community in countless ways, including volunteering as a peace activist and donating to local shelters and many other programs to help those in need. He is a minister at the Shire Free Church, and he has dedicated his life to service, kindness, peace, and liberty. It seems that his core beliefs in liberty and peace inform everything he does in his personal and political life. 

Regardless of the tyrants’ charges against him, he has not harmed anyone. He uses cryptocurrency a lot, he loves educating others about its benefits, and he often gives some away to others. He believes, like many libertarians, that the power the DC Empire has that allows it to fund the endless wars that kill millions and harm billions is predicated on its ability to print dollars. By using their money, individuals legitimize their actions and prop up their currency. The less acceptance the dollar has, the less it is worth. And the less valuable the dollar, the harder it becomes for the warmongers in DC to print dollars and use them to purchase bombs and pay soldiers to fight perpetual wars in 177 countries. For this reason, using crypto, gold, and silver are among the best ways to protest the federal government’s evil actions against Americans and people all over the world. Ian’s life is dedicated to peace. Anyone who has known him for some time would agree that he is making the world a much better place.

If there is one person in this world who does not belong in prison, I think it’s Ian Freeman.
