Anyone who knows me or reads Libertyblock.com is very well aware that we are property rights absolutists. This obviously means that we oppose all gun control laws. Extreme circumstances, however, call for radical strategies. Our current situation calls for the unique approach of supporting this game changing gun control bill.
Introduced by Sheila Jackson-Lee (TX-18), the Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act (HR 127) creates a federal license for the ownership of any firearm by any individual in the united states. The bill establishes harsh penalties, ranging from a few years to 20 years in prison, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in fines.
Magazines capable of holding more than ten rounds of ammunition are prohibited by HR 127. Ammunition in the size of 50 caliber or greater is also prohibited by the bill.
Current gun owners would not be exempt from the license requirements. They would have three months to obtain the license or surrender all of their firearms.
In order to obtain a federal license, citizens would have to pay $800 to apply to the federal government for the license, pass a NICS background check conducted by the FBI (this is already required for all firearms purchases from stores in the US), and undergo a psychological exam with a psychologist approved by the Attorney General of the US. The application would only be approved if the psychologist determines that the applicant is mentally fit and is deserving to own a firearm. The applicant’s relatives would also have to pass this psychological exam.
Each applicant would also have to undergo extensive firearms safety training of at least 24 total hours of instruction at an academy approved by the US Attorney General, who is currently Merrick Garland. (Obama’s Attorney General was Eric Holder. Even years ago, when the left was much more moderate, Holder admitted that his goal was to use the public schools to ‘brainwash’ children against gun rights.)
This incredible bill also creates a federal registry of all firearms. The system would include “the make, model, and serial number of the firearm, the identity of the owner of the firearm, the date the firearm was acquired by the owner, and where the firearm is or will be stored”. The registry would be visible and accessible to the public. Yes, every person would be able to see all of the information regarding your firearms, including where in your home you keep them.
Obviously, these requirements would be impossible to fulfill, meaning that gun ownership in the united states would effectively become illegal if this bill passes into law.
So, why do I want this bill to pass?
At this moment, we are at a critical turning point. We are rapidly losing our freedoms, money, and rights. Politicians are strategically chipping away at our liberties from all angles, which causes the majority of Republicans to neglect to realize just how severely our freedoms are being destroyed. Unfortunately, these Republicans believe that the united states could totally be saved and that one day we will magically defeat or convince all the Democrats and enact all our policies and stop the assaults on our liberties. They are in the most horrific denial and can’t seem to snap out of it. If this bill passes, they will be snapped out of their denial. As long as politicians continue to slowly turn up the heat, some gun owners may never wake up. If we are ever going to resurrect the gun rights movement in our republic, we need the situation to get bad enough, quickly enough, to jolt our allies out of their blissful ignorance.
To what end, you might ask?
Once HR 127 becomes federal law and all firearm ownership becomes illegal, gun owners will have a difficult choice to make.
Option 1: give up their firearms and live out their lives as unarmed slaves to the increasingly communist dictatorship running the republic.
Option 2: stand up to the politicians and refuse to give up their firearms. This could include all options, including gathering in one area (state or county) and forming a sanctuary of some sort. With the power of numbers and density, the millions of gun owners in the united states could have a chance to nullify the unethical, illegal, and unconstitutional federal laws. This might entail any form of nullification or independence for the sanctuary.
We are at a pivotal moment in our republic’s history. If we look at all of the data, facts, history, and logic available to us, we can be 100% sure that the united states and every state will only ever continue moving towards leftist authoritarianism. The only viable (albeit difficult) solution will involve nullifying federal laws, and eventually declaring independence from the federal government. In order to do this, the liberty movement will need to awaken the roughly fifty million Republicans who are in denial regarding our diminishing liberties. If this bill is the only tool that could wake them up and make them fight for freedom, I’m all for it.
