Three years into the worst pandemic in human history, many people are becoming understandably complacent. Despite masks being perfectly effective at preventing the spread of coronavirus, people have been wearing them less than ever before since 2019. If protecting yourself and everyone around you isn’t enough of a reason to put on a mask, here are some more reasons why you should get in the habit of wearing at least a cloth mask.
Imagine that you lived in a world where medical implants and augmented cybernetics were so cheap that even the poorest people in society had access to them. In this world, people learn skills by inserting a flash drive into their neck and installing the knowledge directly. Humans have replaced their arms with chromed fashion pieces, and the more extravagant people have replaced their whole bodies with cybernetics.
Some naive people believe that Congress (the legislative branch) is the one with the power to pass new laws (legislation). But legislators are not the chief lawmakers in the Authoritarian State of America anymore; regulatory agency bureaucrats make nearly all new laws.

Midwifery is an ancient profession, providing care for women during pregnancy and birth. Midwifery being under attack is nothing new. Obstetricians, hospitals, and big pharma have been over-medicalizing the natural process of birth for over 100 years now. Many people are led to believe that birth with a midwife is dangerous and that they would be safer in a hospital. For low-risk women, the opposite is actually true.
