It was understood by our forefathers that ALL human beings were born equal with inalienable rights endowed to us by our Creator, largely based on the philosophy of natural law and that the purpose of government is, simply, to protect these rights.
Early Americans criticized their king’s rule with the memorable slogan “no taxation without representation” and decried His Majesty’s efforts to suspend their legislatures, altering fundamentally the forms of their government by imposing an arbitrary power structure instead.
I’m starting to think that maybe we should just stop talking about rights altogether.
First, because they are so easily confused with entitlements. (The right to freedom of speech, or to self-defense, is now conflated with the ‘right’ to free medical care, or the ‘right’ to avoid having your feelings hurt.)
In my professional medical opinion, taking all of the above information into account, the reported COVID statistics may be 100 or maybe even 1,000 times as high as they really should be.

This may sound redundant, but it deserves to be restated . . . the gray rabbit does not get shot and the black duck gets blasted via gunfire for every time that he is outsmarted.
Unfortunately, in a great many cities and towns, these reporters and journalists became the target of coordinated efforts by police to restrict their ability to effectively report on the events in their locales.
