Concord, New Hampshire – A bipartisan group of legislators have proposed legislation that would effectively nullify and denounce the Declaration of Independence. The Representatives told reporters that they have unearthed a new document that casts strong doubts on the legitimacy of the document which officially marked the colonies’ secession from the Kingdom of Britain in 1776.
“We have spoken to numerous constitutional scholars, including Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, and they agreed that secession is never legal or legitimate. A part of an empire, country, or even union of states cannot ever leave, under any circumstances.”, Rep. Deshaies, the group’s spokesperson and self-proclaimed legal expert, told The Liberty Block.
Because secession from the greater government is never legitimate, the colonists’ rebellion was just that – an empty rebellion with lots of bloodshed but no official, legal legitimacy, the group claims.
While House Bill1984 is being heard by the State-Federal Relations Committee, the sponsors are working diligently with dozens of constitutional and legal scholars from around the world. They also plan to seek an advisory opinion from the New Hampshire Supreme Court (which Dictator Sununu has done in the past) in regards to how to proceed. They also plan to ask the US Supreme Court the same questions.
“Yeah, we are in somewhat of a pickle…” Deshaies chuckled when asked about the conundrum by reporters just outside of the Statehouse. “It is actually a constitutional crisis, right, because if our separation from Britain was illegitimate, then we technically are still under the rule of the British government. This means that we must open some serious dialogue with the Kingdom immediately and ask if they would consider allowing us to return to being a British colony in good standing or even if they would forgo punishing us for 245 years of treason. This also means that the state and federal Constitutions must be amended to reflect that the highest power is retained by Great Britain and parliament. Although, the United States of America was not formed legitimately, right? So, I guess we technically need to dissolve the union of states. But I and other Representatives recently testified on secession legislation and said that any threat to dissolve or leave the union is tantamount to treason. This means that both of my options seem to end in treason. Now THAT is a constitutional crisis!”
If passed into law, HB1984 would repeal all references to the Declaration of Independence both in state laws and in state materials, including for government-run and government-affiliated educational institutions throughout New Hampshire. The new law would require teachers to teach children that we are all rightfully subjects of Her Majesty, the Queen of England.

Not sure why, but this one works better than the water one. But aren’t you jumping the gun on April 1st?

You’re being ruled by the British Crown, the other enemy named in the Declaration of independence, you functionally illiterate, brain dead simpleton.
Your crew of morons, psychopaths and mental defectives who testified for secession ensured that no sane person will vote with them. The rank stupidity that you all demonstrated should provoke us to make stupidity a crime.
