A friend of mine asked me that question on the day of the historic hearing on CACR32, the legislation that would place the question of independence on the ballot if passed by the legislature. She supports liberty and state independence, but she was seriously concerned that we may not have any police if we cut ties with DC.
That exact question was asked by a state legislator during the historic first public hearing in a legislative body on the question of independence in at least 160 years. While it may sound extreme, it is a reasonable question.
Unlike most pro-liberty rallies, however, there were no American flags to be found; all of the flags were navy blue with the seal of New Hampshire in the middle.

By moving to any of the many progressive states, intolerant progressive authoritarians will immediately find a lifestyle much more to their liking than they ever will enjoy by remaining here. And New Hampshire will be freed to continue shining its beacon of hope to tyrannized people everywhere, with far less hostility in its midst for daring to be the one free state in an otherwise unfree world.
Concerned parents, teachers, and staff have been labeled akin to “domestic terrorists” at the recent Timberlane School Board meetings over the last few months. In November 2021, Nolan Pelletier (chairman of the Libertarian Party of New Hampshire and concerned parent) was arrested for “criminal trespass” or, in other words, he chose to not segregate himself in the “disabled” section for his choice not to wear a mask.
Why would you send your children to a prison-like institution that brainwashes your children to hate freedom, conservatism, and their own parents? And why would you pay for this institution to operate?

Still, the latest polls, pundits, and even this author all had McAuliffe winning this election. Until a few days ago, the millions of participants on the betting site PredictIt.org also had the Democrat winning by a very safe margin.
