Within the past 24 hours, I learned of numerous instances in which a Federal Court of Appeals Judge has demonstrated that he supports life, liberty, and due process – and that he is willing to stand up to the radical leftist authoritarian death cult. Whenever anything bad happens that involves a gun, we can safely predict that two other things are going to happen shortly thereafter. The first is that some kind of gun control laws will be proposed. The second is that these proposals will be met with claims that ‘gun control laws don’t work’.
At its core, the debate reflects two divergent ideologies. Authoritarians believe that the government must control everything people do, especially when those people are below 18. Voluntaryists believe that people should run their own lives and that parents and adolescents can jointly determine how to navigate life’s choices.
Two extremely important bills have been filed by New Hampshire legislators who are dedicated to protecting the natural human right to bear arms. Both bills will have public hearings in the House Criminal Justice & Public Safety Committee on Wednesday, February 8th at 3:15 PM.
During the coming week, committees within the New Hampshire House will hold public hearings on numerous bills that could have positive impacts for liberty. Individuals who wish to share their opinions on these bills will have the opportunity to speak to the legislators on the committees during the hearings. Those who cannot attend the hearings may also submit their testimony to the committees online and they could email the committee members.
